Foley and Sound Design
This section is a curated selection of three diverse projects that exemplify my expertise as a sound designer, sound mixer, sound recordist, and audio mastering engineer. Each project has been meticulously crafted to showcase my ability to meet and exceed industry standards across various formats. From the initial recording sessions to the final mastered product, these works demonstrate my commitment to audio excellence and innovation in sound design.
Project 1
Replaced the audio track for the short movie ("Le Petit Cordonnier"). To achieve a sonically rich experience, I envisioned each scene as a painting, with layers of background, middle ground, and foreground.
Equipment Used:
ProTools
Microphones: AT2020 + AT 897
Audio Interface: Scarlett Solo

It was vital to capture the characters' emotions, which could not be conveyed through dialogue alone. Hence, meticulous Foley work, sound design, and music were the keys to unlocking the film's emotional tone.
02
I began by creating detailed SFX cue sheets, then recorded all necessary Foley, using a cardioid condenser microphone for all voice-generated sounds and a shotgun microphone for more detailed ones.
03
I also sourced and edited royalty-free music, which I then blended with the other recorded sounds to match the visuals and emotional journey of the story. Finally, I mastered the audio to -24 LUFS for a polished final product.
Project 2
Replaced the audio in a scene from the 2016 Doctor Strange movie to create an immersive and fantastical soundscape. Synthesized sounds and foley were combined to add depth, detail, and lifelike quality to the audio.
Equipment Used:
ProTools
Microphones: AT2020 + AT 897

To achieve the electrical current-like sound, I recorded various types of plastic bags, rattled wooden colors, and tapped a glass jar, which was then layered and mixed.
02
Serum, a synthesizer, was also used to create low drone-like sounds that added to the magic's mysterious nature.
03
Lastly, I used a Charrasca to produce metallic sound effects, an Ocarina, a fan, and my voice to create the wind effect. The final sounds were mixed and mastered to match the visuals.
Project 3
Replaced the audio, sfx, and sound design to align with the ad's mood. The sounds complement the playful and whimsical visuals indicative of the brand. The audio was also mixed and mastered to meet industry standards.
Equipment Used:
ProTools
Microphones: AT2020 + AT 897

To emphasize the dynamic visual movement of the ad, the arrival of customers is marked with finger snaps. At the same time, a bell sound highlights the happy mood of the customers and barista each time a smile is shown during the coffee preparation.
02
To accurately recreate the sounds of objects, I found similar surfaces and objects to those in a video and recorded them to mimic the movements and quantity of items. A little wrench was also used to create camera transitions.
03
The background music for the ad was chosen to add playfulness and energy. All sounds were mixed and mastered using techniques such as EQ, distortion, reverb, delay, compression, and panning to match the provided visuals.
